Built by an author. Rooted in community.

Indie Network began with a life-changing opportunity. As an unpublished author, Siobhan Purcell received a scholarship from Craig Martelle to attend 20Books Vegas. She returned home inspired not only by what she had learned, but by the generosity, encouragement and friendships she found among other authors. She wanted independent authors in Ireland to have access to that same experience without needing to travel across the world.

That inspiration became Ireland’s Publishing Show and, as the community grew, Indie Network. From the beginning, Siobhan wanted to create something personal, welcoming and genuinely useful, where new authors could sit alongside experienced professionals, ask honest questions and form relationships that continued after the event.

What makes Indie Network different is that networking is not treated as something that happens in the spare minutes between talks. It is built into the entire experience. Our conferences, retreats and meet-ups are designed to create time for real conversations, shared learning and lasting friendships. People may arrive knowing nobody, but our hope is that they leave with a network around them.

The growth from one conference into a year-round community shows that authors were looking for more than information. They were looking for connection, encouragement and a place where they felt they belonged. That remains at the heart of everything we do.
